Richard Froggatt

Married to Jane, with 6 children, --- 3 sets of twins

Born  Malta to Naval family,  came back UK aged  9  to small prep school, and then went on to a privileged school, via a scholarship, 13 to 17.

Classed as unfit for National Service (bad joke!) so then drifted somewhat and rebelled. Started Farm Work and gradually specialised in Livestock, Sheep in particular.

Soon began to diversify into part-time teaching and became a National Wool Board Shearing Instructor, also became an examiner for National Proficiency Tests, finally becoming the Standard Setter ( Sheep Husbandry ) for S E England, .

Founder Member (and first Hon Sec.) of Sussex Farmers, initially ESAA Ltd, and remained on their Board for ten years,
re-elected shortly before amalgamation with Rother Valley to form Southern Farmers, joining their Board, and still glad to be there.

In the background kept a lot of sheep, did a lot of contract shearing and compulsory dipping and lost a lot of sweat!

Now retired from active farming, but not quite burnt out yet!
