Fifty two year old father of four and  married to Nicola , for the moment farming on my own until eldest son Owen returns from Reading hopefully fully qualified in Agricultural Business Management.  We farm on the edge of Romney Marsh at Wittersham ,with a wide range of soil types the farm is run on traditional lines growing milling wheat ,Oilseed Rape ,Linseed ,Vining Peas, Spring Barley ,Forage Maize and Herbage seeds.
 

We have a herd of 250 suckler cows with the progeny fattened and sold at Ashford ,and a flock of 400 Suffolk Mule sheep ,recent diversifications include 5 acres of Vineyard and 50kw of solar panels. I have been a director of Southern Farmers and before that Rother Valley for a total of 18 years ,I am also a director of Romney Marsh Viners and board member for Romney Marsh Levels drainage board.

I enjoy Shooting and Skiing and  game fishing, I also enjoy watching Rugby, and my two daughters compete with their horses at eventing and pony club as well as hunting both with the Coakham Blood Hounds and the Ashford Valley Foxhounds.
